This model was created by PolyImpact, from a set of disconnected 3D scans which were manually stitched together in Modo.
The model was 3D printed by a local print service. They were provided with a segmented model and the segments did not exceed a 19" cube. The final print was 80% of lifesize.
The model was covered in wax and final sculpted by an Omaha sculptor. It was cast in bronze and installed in a town in Iowa.
The motion in this video is controlled by a 3DConnexion Enterprise 3D mouse, which enables great agility in 3D navigation of the model space.
And that in turn, reduces overall modeling time.
